388 Italian Restaurant and Catering: Experience Authentic Italian Cuisine in Roslyn Heights

So kind and so generous and they were raving about the food! I will definitely be in to try it myself! Thank you!

First time here for a business event. Place was very busy. We were a party of about 50. The help was terrific, the food was surprisingly very good. I say that because I feel sometimes very large restaurants don’t measure up because of volume. Portions were generous as well. I’d definitely go back!

This place is fantastic. We were a party of 9 and the service was great with a menu to suit everyone. Having been 10 years ago when we last visited from England, we wanted to make a return visit for the chicken parmigiana which was just as good as we remembered. We had a variety of dishes including chicken franchese, zucchini pasta, meatball, eggplant parmigiana- all were delicious. Very good choices for vegetarians. We went on a Monday evening and it was very busy so be sure you get your reservation.

Came here on Valentines Day night with my boyfriend on a last minute walk in, thanks to Jay. He accommodated us from the second we walked in until we walked out. Food and drinks tasted amazing with great service. Will be recommending this place to friends!

We have been going to 388 for many years. It's basically very good Brooklyn Family style Italian food. The owners and waiters are very attentive to the customers. Our waiter this evening Marty "McFly" was fantastic. I think we amazed him with how much we eat ...lol. We will definitely put in our rotation more often. Don’t forget the Shrimp Krack !!

All the dishes I had were very good. The pastas were cooked well and the sauces were great. The table service was attentive and accomodating. The question is whether the meal was worth the premium? I think so for special occasions. The portions are sizeable and the flavors are a cut above the average Italian restaurant, but the prices are 2-3 times higher as well. I ranked the atmosphere 3 stars because it was not very welcoming when walking in-- the valets were asleep, the hostess seemed haughty, and the decor was minimalist at the entrance. I think 388 is worth a try and I might come back for a birthday or other celebration.

We went to 388 on a Saturday night with reservations, and even though it was packed and there was a short wait to be seated, it didn’t feel like a problem at all—we grabbed a drink at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server was attentive and made jokes with us and the manager even stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well, which was a really nice touch. He also gave the table a round of drinks. The food was delicious across the board. The penne alla vodka was the clear favorite at the table, but the veal milanese and linguine with clam sauce were also outstanding. This is a great spot to go with a group—ordering everything family-style made it even more fun and memorable. Definitely a place we’ll be returning to.
